It’s Almost Goodbye 2012

Well, I hope everyone had an awesome Christmas! Mine was good.

I really can’t believe that 2012 is nearly over. The year has had some ups and downs, but the best thing of all was being able to start my writing/publishing career πŸ™‚

We’re still at my boyfriend’s parents and will be leaving tomorrow or Sunday. That’ll give us about a week to finish packing for the move! I’m so excited!
So that means, around mid January I should be able to finally host the post-release day party for Inner Strength! (Remember to pick up your copy if you haven’t yet – I’m planning on having a special contest for those who’ve read it!)

And I’m pretty sure that Survivor (Cats’ Biographies: Book 1) will be released in February! Working on getting that finished up and will settle on the actual date shortly.

For now, Cheers!

It’s Friday!

holidays

Ok this week went by in a blur… We’re leaving tonight to go spend a week at my boyfriend’s parents – can’t wait for Christmas! πŸ˜€

I’ve been busy all day trying to get stuff packed and ready for us to be gone for so long… Didn’t even realize what day it was until I woke up this morning and then was very upset that I hadn’t gotten anything completed beforehand. lol. Β Once we get back we’ll pretty much have to move. So this will be a hectic next few weeks, but I’m eagerly looking forward to it!

Still have some Christmas shopping to finish up and will do that in the next day or so. Also have to get the kitties ready to go visit their “grandparents” (yes, we take all five with us πŸ˜‰ Can’t leave them alone for that long.) Will be going to the hospital to visit my boyfriend’s grandmother who had a stroke and now has to spend Christmas there 😦

Been editing Survivor (Cats’ Biographies, book 1) and am excited to release that (hopefully) in February! And of course working on Inner Peace (Guardians of Ferrum: Book 2) which I am shooting to have released in the spring!

I forgot to mention in yesterday’s announcement – Sakura Designs does offer pre-made book covers for only $20. So if you’re needing one immediately or just maybe wanting to give your book a face lift you should check it out and see if there’s one that would fit you! Here’s the link πŸ™‚

Annnd before I go. Just to remind anyone that hasn’t picked up their copy of Inner Strength πŸ˜‰ you can get a copy for the Nook or Kindle (remember the kindle edition works on anything – smartphones, tablets, pcs – that have a kindle reading app so you don’t have to own a kindle to still get an ebook copy!) and there is always the paperback.
I’ve been told that the book is awesome! Great read for anyone that likes Steampunk/Fantasy and would make an excellent Christmas gift too! πŸ˜€

Ok, better get and finish making sure that everything is ready to leave.

Cheerio!

Happy Monday :D

Sorry for being so quiet on here. I just lost track of time… Let’s see, I never did do the book recommendation that I was wanting to do last week. I’ll try to do it later this week if I can find the time. Thanksgiving is here too soon… I’ve just been busy with Nano and edits and then sick and gaming, gaming, gaming…

But, I think Inner Strength is just about done! I completed the edits and am getting it ready for its release! πŸ˜€ I’m just trying to figure out the best date. My boyfriend tells me I should release it on my birthday – that’s the 10th of December – I just don’t know. I want to be able to do a release day party and I don’t think that would work well for me – though I could always do a belated one… Hmmm… I’ll think about it.

The other thing is we are moving for sure – to Dayton! Now I have to do apartment hunting and just hope that there will be something available in the time frame needed. Only have around a month to do so… That also means I’m going to have to be packing and cleaning like crazy… Ugh I just wish it wasn’t going to be right around the holidays…

My boyfriend wants to have our own Thanksgiving tomorrow with the kids – aka cats – so I’m going to be making a roast duck. I need to figure out good side dishes since I’ve never had duck other than the time I cooked it and that was just to practice… And then we will be leaving on Wednesday to spend the holiday weekend with his family!

I can’t believe 2012 is almost over!

But I better go because I have waaaaaaaay too much to do. So ya’ll probably won’t be seeing me on here that much until things start to settle down – as in get moved and everything..

Cheers!

Happy Halloween!

It’s that time of year once again… Now, I grew up never knowing a single Halloween. It was a forbidden “holiday” in my family – the Devil’s day. Every year we would be forced to keep all of the lights turned off and all of the windows closed when the kids were out trick-or-treating. We weren’t allowed to look outside and see the evilness that was going on. If the parents took us to a store any time that the Halloween costumes and decorations were up we would have to keep our eyes on the ground and definitely not be seen by the parents even unconsciously looking at something for fear of getting in trouble.

I look back at it now and laugh. I’ve still to this day never done anything for Halloween outside of dressing up my cats, but it’s only because of the fact the it’s always way too cold!
Seriously, it was snowing outside this morning! That’s not supposed to happen for another month at least!

The thing that makes me excited though is that there’s only one day between me and November! That means Nanowrimo begins, but more importantly, Thanksgiving is right around the corner! That will be followed closely by – my birthday! – and of course Christmas and New Years! Just so very exciting πŸ™‚ I love the holidays more than any other time of year.

I’m just going to start rambling so I’ll say good-evening. I have an author interview for y’all tomorrow as well as an exciting book release that I’ve been looking forward to!

Cheers!
